January started off with a couple of goals and aspirations. First off was my Photo365 Project. Unfortunately, I lasted only the month of January, and then got way too busy to dedicate my time to the project. Below is my favourite photo that I took.

February was the month that I was the busiest. On February 2nd, I filmed the music video for “Sunflower” by Stacey Zegers. The video was received very well and has gained over 10,000 combined views online.

The Anti-Bullying message was so well received that Stacey and I did numerous press interviews discussing the video and it’s message.

In February, I was fortunate to land on the front page of the London Free Press promoting the Shot on Mobile Film Showcase

I ended the month shooting the music video for the track “Televised” by The Rescue

In March, I participated in the Fringe 62-Hour Short film contest. I teamed up with Jason Clarke and Darryl Calcott from Sunny Day Jazz to create the film “Frantic”

A few weeks ago, Tracey, her brother Marshall and I took the kids to see the fabled Saskatoon Street house here in London.  It was all of our first times visiting the house, and it didn’t disappoint.

Here is a quick video that I shot.

I also did a quick long exposure shot that didn’t quite turn out.

This past Saturday I attended the 7th London Photowalk at Fanshawe Pioneer village.  This was my first photowalk with the Canon 7D.  While I have become very familiar with the camera as a video DSLR, it is radically different than the Canon T1i that I was shooting with prior. I am still learning where everything is on the camera.  I like to shoot in manual mode, and all of the buttons that were on the t1i have are not even close to where they are on the 7D.

I shot around 200 pictures, and I was satisfied with around 20 of them.  Old architecture isn’t really my thing, so drawing inspiration from old historic buildings was challenging.

During the walk, I did shoot some video and have compiled it here.  I was curious on capturing natural motion and a wide colour palate in 1080 24p.

Video was shot with the Canon 5D Mark II camera.
