What we did was, using a logitech quickcam, we took a picture of the live performance every 15 seconds, then uploaded the pic to our webserver and ran a javascript to refresh the image every 25 seconds.  For the audio, I had to contact a company in California to let us use their RealMedia streaming server.  This fed the webpage with the audiofeed that the user first had to download real player.

February 14th: Johnny’s Rocket Room. Our live show on this web site. This show had a couple of new events for the band. The first being the debut of the newest song to the reel live set, “I hold crush” and the second being reel’s first live show on the internet. We would like to thank the following people who helped make the show happen: Nick Linedecker at Kern Internet Services in Bakersfied, CA, Copyland Systems for supplying the hardware to make the show be broadcast. Sometimes, it is nice to walk down memory lane….

A few weeks ago, Tracey, her brother Marshall and I took the kids to see the fabled Saskatoon Street house here in London.  It was all of our first times visiting the house, and it didn’t disappoint.

Here is a quick video that I shot.

This past Saturday I attended the 7th London Photowalk at Fanshawe Pioneer village.  This was my first photowalk with the Canon 7D.  While I have become very familiar with the camera as a video DSLR, it is radically different than the Canon T1i that I was shooting with prior. I am still learning where everything is on the camera.  I like to shoot in manual mode, and all of the buttons that were on the t1i have are not even close to where they are on the 7D.

I shot around 200 pictures, and I was satisfied with around 20 of them.  Old architecture isn’t really my thing, so drawing inspiration from old historic buildings was challenging.

During the walk, I did shoot some video and have compiled it here.  I was curious on capturing natural motion and a wide colour palate in 1080 24p.

Video was shot with the Canon 5D Mark II camera.
